Our Mission
OHSOOL was built on a simple frustration. Most of what gets called "quality" in everyday clothing is a compromise — synthetic blends dressed up in premium packaging, or genuine materials hidden behind inflated brand markups. Neither felt honest.
We started OHSOOL to build Aa line of basics that begins with the material and works forward from there. Natural fibers only. Pricing that reflects what's actually in the garment. No shortcuts in the construction.
That's the whole idea. Fewer things, made better, priced for what they are.
Materials First
Every decision at OHSOOL starts with fiber. Not silhouette, not trend, not price target — fiber.
Most brands design a garment and then find a material that fits the margin. We reverse that. The fiber determines everything that follows: how it feels, how it breathes, how it ages, how it holds its shape after a year of wear.
Our first material is extrafine merino — specifically Cashwool, spun by Zegna Baruffa in Italy, where wool has been engineered for over a century. At 19.5 microns, it sits at the exact point where softness, structure, and durability converge. Nothing synthetic. Nothing added to compensate for a weaker base material.
Built to Last
Each garment is knit as a single continuous piece on a whole-garment machine in Brooklyn. No panels cut from flat fabric. No assembly seams. The structure is built into the knit itself — which means it holds its shape after a hundred wears the same way it did after the first.
We produce only after an order is placed. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Every piece is made with intent, not in anticipation of demand.
